Story telling week at Eye Emporium Opticians London

National Storytelling Week is an annual event that will be taking place between the 28th January and the 4th February this year. The event is held to raise awareness for the ancient form of entertainment, and over 350 different venues nationwide will be holding storytelling events and performances.

A major component of storytelling is written word and what better way to celebrate National Storytelling Week than getting lost in a great book or performance?

Do you like visiting Victorian London in re-enactments of Dickens’ Great Expectations? Perhaps you enjoy exploring other galaxies in sci-fi thrillers? Or maybe you’re one of the millions of Harry Potter fans?

No matter what your literary preferences, it’s important you’re wearing the right prescription eyewear if you read often or are planning a visit to the theatre. Otherwise, you may not be able to fully enjoy your favourite works.

If your glasses have an incorrect or outdated prescription lenses you may be straining your eyes, which can lead to headaches. Additionally, you could be causing permanent damage to your vision. For that reason we strongly recommend that you visit an optician once a year to ensure your prescription is up to date.

At Eye Emporium we want you to be able to enjoy the arts and culture all year round. And to help you do just that, our team of friendly experts are always on hand to offer thorough examinations and professional advice regarding your eyewear.

It doesn’t matter if you’ve only had your spectacles six months; if you notice a change in your vision at any point, you should book an appointment to come and see us. You should also remember that your prescription could even change yearly, especially if you are aged 40+.

So whether you plan on attending a storytelling event during National Storytelling Week or not, make sure you aren’t putting your eyes at risk by booking an appointment at Eye Emporium today. You can contact us by calling 0800 020 9202.
