This week, Eye Emporium opticians is going to be donating £1 to charity for every eye test completed in support of Child Poverty Day on Friday 17th October.
Child Poverty Day is a fundraising event held yearly by renowned charity Action Aid in order to provide food and education to the world’s poorest children.
With twelve independent practices based in London, Eye Emporium will be sending all proceeds from each practice to the “Save an Orphan” charity.
Eye Emporium was staggered at the number of children that don’t have access to education around the world and hopes that the event at Eye Emporium opticians will help to raise awareness.
There are 80 million around the world who have no access to education. At Eye Emporium we want to help as much as we can by holding fundraising events and donating money from eye tests.
From Monday 14th October, for every eye test that we complete, we will donate £1 to Save An Orphan; a charity that provides clean water, sanitation and education to children around the world.
The team at Eye Emporium also recently donated £1 per eye examination to charity Fight For Sight throughout National Eye Health Week.
The event held over a week in September proved to be a huge success and we are hoping that Eye Emporium can continue to hold successful charity events.
We had a great response to our fundraising idea during National Eye Health Week and everybody seemed to be on board with what we were trying to achieve.
The event spurred us on to do more and we are hoping to raise lots of money for Save An Orphan on Friday.
We all understand the importance of events like these and will continue to hold fundraising events at our practices.
